As the academic year comes to a close across various states in India, students and teachers alike eagerly anticipate the onset of the summer vacation. With the conclusion of board examinations, schools have begun announcing their summer vacation schedules, bringing relief to students from the routine of studies.
In West Bengal, the summer holidays for the year 2024 are set to commence from May 6th and extend until June 2nd
This duration includes a total of 22 days of holidays, excluding public holidays and Sundays. Meanwhile, in other states like Rajasthan, schools have announced holidays on April 11th, coinciding with Mahatma Phule Jayanti, providing a much-needed break for both students and staff members.
Similarly, in Aligarh district, schools up to 8th grade will remain closed on April 5th, marking Jumma Alvida. These decisions, made in accordance with district authorities, aim to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff members.

Meanwhile, in Delhi, the government has announced a summer vacation lasting for 51 days, starting from May 11th, 2024 (Saturday) and continuing until June 30th, 2024 (Sunday). However, teachers will be required to attend school from June 28th to June 30th, 2024, for essential activities.
The school holiday calendar for Delhi has been released on the Delhi Education Directorate’s website, allowing students and teachers to check the schedule.
