Solar Plant Illuminates Lives, 1500 Farmers Benefit from Kharagpur’s Solar Project

In a significant leap towards sustainable energy, a solar plant established by Khare Energy in the Khargapur tehsil, spanning across 16 acres, is now generating electricity for the local community. This initiative is proving to be a game-changer, providing daily benefits to over 1500 farmers in the region. Directors of Khare Energy, Navin Khare, and Manish Khare, reported that the solar plant, currently operating at one megawatt capacity, has successfully installed 4000 solar panels.

Megawatt-Scale Operation

As the solar project progresses, a total of 4000 solar panels have already been installed, with an additional 2000 panels yet to be deployed. The directors highlighted that the solar plant is generating more than 3000 units of electricity daily, benefiting farmers who now have access to power throughout the day. The project, with a total loan of 60 million rupees, has been granted without any collateral.

Farmers in Kharagpur shared their experiences, expressing gratitude for the dual advantage of having access to water from the Ban Sujara dam and now ample electricity from the solar plant.
