The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has brought good news for candidates with the release of the notification for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2024. More than 3000 vacancies have been announced under this recruitment. The application process began on April 8th and the last date to apply is May 7th. Corrections in the application form can be made on May 10th and 11th.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply on the official website, ssc.gov.in. This examination will recruit candidates for the positions of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA)/Sorting Assistant (SA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO) in various central departments.
SSC CHSL Recruitment 2024 Details
- Total Vacancies: 3712
- Position Details: Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA)/Sorting Assistant (SA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO).
- Age Limit: Between 18 to 27 years. Relaxation in age is provided to candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC categories as per government rules. SC/ST candidates get a relaxation of 5 years, OBC candidates get 3 years, PwBD (Unreserved) get 10 years, PwBD (OBC) get 13 years, and PwBD (SC/ST) get 15 years of relaxation. Educational Qualifications
- For Data Entry Operator (DEO) Grade ‘A’ in Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Ministry of Culture, candidates must have passed the 12th class in the Science stream with Mathematics from a recognized board. Candidates with equivalent qualifications can also apply.
- For other departments or ministries requiring DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ and all LDC/JSA positions, candidates must have passed the 12th class from a recognized board or university. Candidates appearing in class 12 or equivalent examination can also apply if they possess the required qualification by August 1, 2024.
Application Fee
The application fee is set at Rs. 100 for candidates. However, there is no fee for female candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD (Unreserved), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) categories.
Salary
The salary ranges from Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 81,100 per month, depending on the position.

- Enter your educational and personal information and upload a passport size photo.
- Verify all details carefully and proceed.
- The application fee can be paid using BHIM UPI, net banking, or debit/credit card.
- After successfully submitting the application, it will be finally accepted.
