Teachings of the Bhagavad Gita: Behave Well Even with Bad People, Attain Salvation

In today’s article, we will discuss some teachings that, when followed, can lead to the attainment of salvation. The Bhagavad Gita is considered the most ancient and important scripture in Hinduism, guiding humanity towards the path of salvation. It contains knowledge of duty, action, and devotion. By following the teachings of the Gita, one’s life becomes successful. This scripture consists of 18 chapters and 700 verses. Before the Mahabharata war began, Lord Krishna imparted the knowledge of life’s mysteries to Arjuna. He also revealed his universal form to Arjuna. Lord Krishna explained that whenever there is unrighteousness on Earth, God Himself will incarnate to end it.

Lord Krishna’s Teachings on Kindness and Divine Support Amid Adversity

During the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Shri Krishna emphasized the importance of treating every individual with kindness. Just as a diamond can be polished to perfection but mud cannot be cleansed with mud, it is your duty to do good deeds. Lord Krishna explained that even though every individual knows the truth of life, their emotions often lead them astray, resulting in adverse consequences in the future.

Lord Krishna revealed that in times of adversity, where everyone else may abandon an individual, God Himself stands with them. During such times, the voice that emerges from the person’s heart is that of the Supreme Being, who does not let them succumb to difficult circumstances.

Lord Krishna stated that if bad people could be enlightened through understanding, there would be no need for Madhava (Krishna) to initiate the Mahabharata war. Those who are determined to commit evil deeds force God Himself to take an avatar. Therefore, always strive to do good deeds.

Time’s Unpredictability and the Illusion of Mourning

Madhava (Krishna) explained that time belongs to no one. It can sometimes be favorable and sometimes unfavorable, as its nature is unpredictable. It’s worth mentioning that just before Lord Rama was about to be coronated, he was sent into exile for 14 years. Therefore, never rely on time, but instead maintain self-confidence that you are capable of overcoming difficult situations at all times.

During the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna advised not to mourn the death of anyone nor lament over broken relationships. The illusion of God is so powerful that after an individual’s death, everyone forgets about them after some time. A friend mourns for four days, a brother for ten days, and a mother mourns the most, but gradually, their tears dry up.

By adhering to these teachings, one can lead a righteous life and ultimately attain salvation, as prescribed by Lord Shri Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita.
